Dear All,

For the month of Movember I have decided to grow (again) a moustache. It’s going well as you can see from the photo but I need your help to raise some much need funds to help the Irish Cancer Society.

Movember is a worldwide organisation. In 13 years they’ve funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the world.

At a national level, Movember partners with the Irish Cancer Society (ICS), who aim to improve the lives of those affected by prostate and testicular. Movember support the Irish Cancer Society on specific programs use innovative techniques to help the lives of people that battling these diseases.

Funds raised by the Movember community in Ireland and around the world are invested in programmes that directly support men that have prostate or testicular cancer in four key programme areas including:

  • Awareness and education.
  • Living with and beyond cancer.
  • Staying mentally healthy, living with and beyond cancer.
  • Research programmes to find cures.

Dolmen recently raised €1000 for Hope in The darkness, a charity group who bring food to the homeless at the GPO, 8-11 every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday night.
